😞 In the process of respraying my bug with the glass out and thought I would take the opportunity to replace the tatty original headliner. I've bought the TMI mohair equivalent which comes with no fitting instructions and thus far I can only find references to fitting the vinyl variety on the net. Does anyone know where I could locate any articles/ tips for fitting a cloth headliner?

I understand its pobably going to be quite tricky and therefore want to be prepared as best I can.

There is a whole section on 'Headlining Removal and Installation' in the 'Bentley Publishers' workshop manual.
(A-19 pages 3 to 9).

If you were unaware, the Bentley series are exact reprints of the original VW technicians manuals used in VW workshops of the time.
They have one for VW types 11,14 and 15 1958-1960. (your car)
I cannot recommend this book enough for anyone owning and maintaining a vintage VW.
They cover everything, totaly accurate...straight from the horses mouth. Not the cheapest book (around £50)but If I did not have one it would defo be on my Xmas list.
