Pop Out Rear Windows on a '61 Bug? · International Vintage Volkswagen Forums

My '61 Deluxe Beetle currently has non-pop out rear windows. I can see the installation pattern of 4 holes in a square that look as though there were pop out hinges installed at one time. So, my question is....were pop out windows available for a '61 US spec Bug? Can the 'solid' windows be converted to pop outs?(assuming one can drill glass) TIA and Happy Motoring:?
