Hello everyone, this is my first post but I’ve been lurking for quite a while.

I’m looking for some OG vacuum and fuel pipe for my 62model, the vacuum pipe should have a loop in it. I’ve had a look about in the usual places but no joy. Anyone help me out?

The vacuum line you will see come up often on The Samba.

Was the fuel line ever metal post '60? The line on the early 34 horse engine (like yours) has the metal line in, but im sure it was always a rubber hose out to the carb?




On another note, where did you buy your air hose, that runs to the air cleaner? Im trying to use the same filter as you I think (maybe only meant for stale air?) and the hose I have is too thin, ie it wont fit.

I wasn’t sure on any of the metal pipe stats (I seen an OG bus with my engine in with metal pipes). So I’ve just had a dig around on the samba. I’m not sure if I should have any metal pipes at all now?

As for the air hose it’s OG to the car, as far as I know.
