To mark the 75th anniversary of the worlds most popular 'peoples' car, Volkswagen have announced that a limited number of brand new 'old' Beetles will be manufactured in it's Wolfsburg plant. As many as 1000 cars may be produced that will follow the original 'split window' design and will include a number of historic details such as semaphore indicators and cable brakes. Prices will not be historic however, with each car set to retail at around €100k each. The project has been kept in complete secrecy but is nearing completion, it's estimated that the old Beetles may be available to pick up from Autostadt within weeks.
