Is anybody else interested in VW toys? I like to restore and repaint old models and this time, I thought I would make a replica of my car so I don't have to miss it during the long winter months when it's stored away.
I have used a 1961 model currently made by Vitesse, filled the front wing indicator holes and swapped the steering wheel for one which came from a Vitesse split window model.

'Hadn't thought of that but I could be persuaded-time and work permitting! You need to find a model close enough in detail/year to your car first though, to use as a base.
Have you already got one or know of one?

Smashing stuff Nicolas :!:

I'll have to have a diorama of Rattletrap and my '49 done :p

Did anyone notice the Tatra in the YouTube film :d

Rattletrap – the Volkswagen Beetle that has covered an incredible mileage equivalent to over 35 times around the planet :omg:
Running nifty since 1950… the King of Volkswagens:beer: Why not make friends with this famous little VW – he's on facebook!

The scale is 1:43 which makes the toy about 10cm long.
If you find the right model (of your car), I'll do it for you:wink:
