Is this the same as the NSUs R0 80 ?

NSU
The 129hp Wankel powered the Ro80’s front wheels through a three-speed manual transmission with an automatic clutch. Much like Porsche’s Sportomatic of the same era, the NSU’s gearbox had both a torque converter and an electronically actuated dry clutch.

PORSCHE
Porsche’s Tiptronic system has become quite familiar to the automotive community by now. However, the Tiptronic system was not the first time Porsche offered a clutch-less manual transmission. In 1968, the Sportomatic semi-automatic 4-speed was introduced as an optional transmission to the standard 5-speed manual on the 911T and E. (though there were approximately 5 Sportomatic 914s made) It was quite an interesting design indeed. Porsche took their type 905 transmission and modified it to contain a torque converter along with a vacuum operated clutch.

VOLKSWAGEN
The automatic VW clutch is a combination of a starting clutch and a gearshift clutch which both work independently of each other. The normal clutch pedal is dispensed with.
When moving off and stopping the vehicle, the clutch operation is carried out solely by means of the starting clutch (centrifugal roller type) in connection with the engine speed.
For gear shifting when the vehicle is in motion the gearshift clutch is disengaged with the assistance of the engine vacuum via a solenoid control valve and a clutch servo. The gears can then be shifted in the normal manner.
The reengagement of the cluch is controlled by means of a two stage vacuum reduction after the gear has been shifted.

But if it is the same I don't know, what do you think yourself?

FINALLY!!!

Today Francois and Rudy of A.B.P; picked up the Heb to install the engine!
Probably they start working to it tomorrow. (I hope)
So if there are no further problems the Heb will be running next week!
So it will be ready in time to go to meetings next year, ecxept ....!

 Atlast the engine is in!
At the time I had to leave the workshop of Aircooled Beetle Paradise (A.B.P.), the mechanics started to build up the engine!!
So maybe next week I can make a test drive!!

BTW: Normally "the purist" in me wouldn't have done this but because a saxomatic cluth needs atleast 34hp to operate perfect I did!!!
The original 25 horses living or what was left of them in the Heb's original engine weren't effdicient enough to have a nice ride!:omg:
Downhill and flat road with wind in the back ok but once going uphill I could even keep up with my wheelchair!!!
