The steering box cover on my Oct 53 has the numbers 47.17 stamped on the top of it. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a date code? Is this the correct one for my car?

The cover has a crack in it & it leaks- does anyone have a cover they could sell me?

Does anyone know if the following steering box casting/ part numbers would be suitable for a '53? I think the box might have come off a '56 originally & I don't know if it will fit my '53.
