like most cars mine has now dissapeared for the winter

drove abt 100 miles in it and engine and brakes all behaved perfectly

car needs a bit more detailing and carpets etc but this will have to wait until it gets a bit warmer

only niggle at the moment is with the accelerator pedal linkage that we replaced but just doesnt seem to go together properly so more time needed there as its very embarrassing when it falls apart at roundabouts...

reg.no turned up yesterday so another job to be done

checked show dates for next year and found stanford hall falls on my wifes pregnancy due date...im sure she can cross her legs!

its ok,its christmas and we have to be kind to all...even to ovaltine

i really liked the split but it was just too rare and i had too much money tied up in it to be viable as a hobby car,im no millionaire unfortunatly.i enjoy driving them as much possible and a patina"d split beetle is just too precious,its gone to a very good home and is "good hands" for its next reincarnation

i have a child on the way in may and am fighting my corner each day!

I came across a bit heavy handed. Your present car is great, I'd love it to bits, its just that the split looked unreal8)

You needn't justify your finances though with a baby due. Sounds like 2011 will be a very special year for you :beer: :beer:
