Hi - yours is actually an early 1968 model year 1200. Although registered in 1967 it is one of the first 'new' Beetles with upright headlamps. Being a 1200, it has much less bright trim, more painted metal inside (only partial headliner) etc and would have been 6v still whereas the 1300 & 1500's were 12v. Originally there would have been no fuel gauge. Hope that helps. I had one just like yours a few years back - YBH311F also in Chinchilla grey - wonder where it is now?

I'm sure your beetle's VIN starts with 118xxx as for -68 modelyear?:smile:
