Does anyone know where I can source a set of early 4 bolt wheel cylinders for my '51, the only place I have found so far is Kaefer Nostalgie but at $700 for a set of 4 :omg: I don't think so....

If the original is missing an Okrasa is a superb substitute.
 I may be a little guilty for suggesting this to ET:oops:

Maybe I can make Rob happy by saying that I am not[-x going to use an Okrasa kit!
Because more power is needed fo the saxomatic this was my first option!
But now after realising this is not "historical" correct I made the decision it's going to be something else, but I am not going to say what!:p
So patience asked!!!

to George:
Front and back wheel cilinders of 19,05mm. were only used from 3/50 till 5/50
The rear changed into 15,88mm. from 6/50 till 12/53
Front wheel cilinder always were 19,05mm.

1951 - NOS 4 bolt wheel cylined. - £offers
For all split window beetles with hydraulic brakes.
19MM.

The 19mm wheel cilinders are indeed for all split window beetles yes! In front but not in the back!

Right or wrong?

https://www.ate.de/generator/www/com/en/ate/ate/themes/30_ate_classic/ate_classic_en,tabNr=4.html  what would be better than the original manufacterer remaking them

Catalogue page 294 on the thumbnails will take you to the Beetle brake parts. I've only glanced at it but unfortunately it looks like they only sell parts from 01/54 onwards :-(

Yeah, maybe when you make an order of 25.000 pieces!!:omg:
Is it not better to order the wheel brake cilinders of a 356, they are still available from 1951!
Maybe not original (but the same:oops: ) but alot cheaper than the making of those ..... other ones!!
