Nope, no idea.

Had a load of powder coating done and it was in the bottom of the box when it came back. I don't remember taking it off the car and don't ever remember seeing anything like it. All the bits that I had coated were engine tinware items....

This afternoon, like good sniffing dogs, Piet and I went parts hunting in Holland.

At a certain moment my nose sniffed a familiar smell.:omg:

I found a part printed in my brain seeing in the post here above. The question was: what is it? It is not the scuttle support bracket that is located behind the speedo,[-x but a bracket to support the round air intake of the air cleaner of a barndoor 30/34 HP Karmann Ghia.:p

You don,t believe it? You better do! Check it out on the pic, partnumber 105!

ET sniffed the part:oops: and Nico Kennis helped me out to identify the part:thumbup: and Piet held the original barndoor parts manual for taking the pics.

 ET

Oh yes; we managed to find dished 77mm pistons together with NOS rings!

Also found/bought 2 (yes two) single tip original vw exhausts!

One with logo at the side and another without but original according the seller!

Piet and I will visit you again in the near future to pick them up!

Thanks a lot Nico!!

And Nico don't worry it can be arranged that we will bring another cake with us!!!

Atleast when you serve fresh coffee!!!:p

 ET

ps.

I took a delicious "Smurfen" cake with me to surprise Nico with nice Belgian Bakery!!

The coffee Nico served with that nice cake was atleast one day old!!!:thumbdn:

On my question if was possible to get some of todays coffee he said:

"No problem you just have to come back tomorrow!!!":omg:  kennis 009 (Small).jpg You have insufficient rights to see the content.
