Having just rebuilt my stock 1500sp engine in my single cab,its now done about 200miles but i can't seem to get it running perfectly, have checked timing, valve clearances, been through the carb but still getting same problem. It runs fine but when i go to pull away or change up gears then put my foot on floor its jerky, stutters etc till i whack my foot flat on the floor! I replaced the heads with other 1500 heads & these had larger inlet valves, would this of made a difference? would i need to put a larger jet in the carb now maybe? Any ideas appreciated thanks,

Could it be that the preheat pipe is blocked and icing the carb?
Or the distributor advance/knackered vacuum advance?

Distributor is working fine & dont think its the prehaet pipe as it does it when hot also, which brings me back to the carb again!!!!
I'll check the pump jet.
Thank you:wink:
