Hi everyone,

When doing an early beetle in two tone black with red side panels, are people actually using the specified L50 Coral Red? Everytime I see a car in pics it appears the red on the car is much deeper (something closer to L51 Bordeaux red). However, all the restoration guides claim the proper red side panel would be L50 - Coral Red.

To make things even more confusing, by the mid-50s, VW used the Coral Red name again - but this time it had a new color code and was a very brownish red.

Any help is appreciated!
