I'm looking to get my seat frames powder coated.i noticed that the backrest adjuster knob has a sprung plastic part, which I think clicks into rebates in the base tube ends.

Does anyone know how to remove these so they can be reinstalled later - otherwise oven temperature will melt them.

If your frames are black, save a few quid and spray them up yourself. I took my seats out, cleaned and prepped the frames and rattle canned them in a satin black spray. They came out a treat and still look good five years on.
