pro's and cons

is it worth it , how much extra weight?

costs involved?

anyone had it done?

I have just bought a 53 chassis that was restored in the 90's . it appears to be galvanised under the paint. presumably 50's panels weren't available in the 90's as its got standard pans on , although they appear thicker than the current ones , but that may be due to the galv?

downside is that looks like they didn't clean the threads prior to assembly and some are damaged , presumably since stripdown.

I've heard the heat used in the process can warp panels, but no experience of this.
Seems a bit unneccessary tbh, unless your going to use the car through the winter, in which case the rest of the car will rust anyway.
