Can any one please tell me will a pre 62 beetle rhd steering box fit a 1955 oval beetle with out any modifications.

Hi Baz,

A 1952 to 1961 will fit. All these boxes have a 28mm output shaft (the half splined bit the Pitman arm fastens to). Later boxes have a smaller 22mm output shaft.
