Want to change my transmission oil and the haynes manual suggests I use Hypo B (light grade) oil on my 58 bug. This does n't seem to be easy to get hold of, does anyone know of any UK sources :cry: or an acceptable modern equivalent.

Most places, including Halfords, do a SAE 80-W90 Gear oil which is suitable for Hypoid gears. Castrol and Comma also still do Hypoy gear oil.

In fact Castrol do a range of oils for classic cars and offer a contact on their UK website for advice on which of their products would be suitable...
