Jerry Seinfeld... tried to buy this car at the Classic a couple of years ago... Nope... not for sale. Sorry. He was very nice... but his buyer/dealer guys wouldn't take no for an answer. Amazing money offerred...

I love my car.

My sharky did NOT love his Rometsch ! But now his ex ROU is in gooood hands at Andy's homebase, private VW museum, almost restored (remember the "not restorable", impossible to sell Rometsch last year ?)
He also had big money offers, but he donated the not restorable Rometsch to his only one car friend Andy, FORTUNATELY and thanks god !

It is easy to identify Bob's ex Rometsch because it has an odd little flat trim strip over the front license plate... rather than the "eyebrow" that should be there.

It was funny when Blue Nelson lowered his Beeskow and put on a set of BRMs at the classic a couple of years back. Because he is always up to things like that and you knew he wasn't serious. But to see this black car in a Japanese VW museum lowered on fake Randar rims and 135's ... well it just looks kind of cheap and stupid. I am glad it in a museum... but aren't museums about preserving history?
