ok, well the fuel gauge is now in place in the dash, thanks to my power drill and metal file. i had to make the hole for the gauge and then just fit the later model face plate. a very neat job if i do say so myself. then i took the car to a gauge specialist to find out about the 12v to 6v problem, and he said he can make it all work with a solid state resistor or some other stuff, but he tested my sender and apparently it needs fixin' cause it shows no resistance...or compleate resistance? not sure which, so once the cd player's in on tuesday the gauge will be sorted out on wednesday, then the bug will be high-tech!
