The VW museum has double checked for me and the 59 Standard Sunroof I'm considering was definitely ordered specially as an L14 Reseda green car.
They say it's not the first time a Standard has been ordered with a Deluxe colour... 😃

My Karmann is L14 Reseda Green. The dash and a few others places are original paint of you want to have a look.

L14 is listed on page 1, it says the colour was available on deluxes from Aug 58 to end July 59 and cabrios from start of production to end Feb 53

No mention of the colour in use on standards but maybe you could order it specially ?

You are right, this colour was specially ordered for that particular Standard car (the one I emailed you the other day). Weird, isn't it! :shock:

The Keeler family rally bug is a '59 reseda green car ( ex-Sweden) :D

Kevin, your kab must surely be the earliest vw painted in Reseda in the uk?!

Here's another Reseda Karmann which lives in the US.

You may be right about my car being the earliest Reseda car in the UK, the car below is the only other Karmann I have seen in this colour, although I am sure there are more out there !
