Whats the easiest and cheap method of converting my 1967 bug wiper motor from its original 6volts to 12 volts. i know i can buy the variable resitior thing at about £40 is this best?

Keep an eye out for the later ('68 I believe) motor. I bought mine on ebay for a tenner including the arm assembly. It's the 12v version of the 6v SWF motor. You'll need to swap over the cast alloy plate on the front of the motor, as the pivot pins are a different diametre (you'll see what I mean when you see one). I also found the matching switch & with a bit of jiggery pokery, I've now got 2 speeds with auto park too.
