Original description:
Rarest of the rare! Zwitter/early Oval Blaupunkt Autosuper A253 Frankfurt radio. Genuine early VW accessory radio from Blaupunkt for October 1952- August 1955 Beetles. These A253 tube/valve radios hardly ever come up for sale, but are the only 100% correct genuine VW Blaupunkt radios for Oct 1952- July 1955 Beetles.
Compared to later post-1955 Blaupunkts, they are a completely different design. The whole chassis and layout is different. The pushbuttons have sharp edges top and bottom and the dial is also unique.
The radio light works but the radio does not.
I have only seen a few of these A253's offered for sale in the last decade. Here's your chance to own a nice example.
