Hello,
I only know of two other RHD standard square windows.
One is Richard Copping's immaculate Jupiter Grey 1960. It's a pre-August, ie April I think, so it has semaphores. Being British, it has chromed bumpers, hubcaps and door handles.
The other one I know is a 1958 which used to belong to Paula Rowe.
It was in primer and sold a couple of years ago to a well-known VW specialist I won't mention. Unfortunately, he thought of nothing better to do than lowering the height of the roof by shortening the pillars and turning it into some kind of drag racer. What a joke...
I'd love to see more RHD standard models from that period. hey are obviously scarse.
This Ebay one from Cornwall was actually for sale quite a few months back. I don't know if it's a case of the guy finally auctioning it off as he couldn't sell it or if somebody else got hold of it and passed it on after...
Lovely car, a real gem! I hope we'll see it soon on the roads...
