Im normally a strictly UK car person (I know RHD, afterthought blah, blah, blah :wink: ) but this looks so original and pukka it has turned my head!

So rare these days to see the metallics still in og paint as they go off so much more than the flats.
Definitely without a doubt the best oval I have seen for sale in the uk for a long time! And spot on price for the car too I think.

Last month I replied to an ad for a VW for sale in Milton Keynes, which said something along the lines of
"1958 VW Beetle, collectors car, quick sale needed, unwanted gift, only a true enthusiast will know the value of such a car".

Might be worth a look as it was local...

...I didn't hear anything for ages but eventually got a call back.

The seller said that the date was a mistake and it was actually a 1953 grey swedish oval.
He didn't know much about it and was very vague. He didn't think it had the correct engine though.

It was only about 5 miles down the road so I went and had a look..

This Oval is now mine!

So I now have two cars that Andy used to own!

I'm the 10th owner since 2004! :shock:

How did it survive that long without being lowered?

There's a problem with one of the semaphores, which keeps blowing the fuse to sort out and I want to improve the rear lights, then it's off for an MOT.
