very quick i ordered some new wheel bearing's for the 52
they have turned up and look very different but was told they will work fine is this true ?
the old ones are ball shaped where as the new ones look more like roller's, but they are the same size etc...

the roller bearings should be a direct relacement for the ball type bearings if they are the same size as the stub axle diameter was increased in the late fifties, I think, my old Pre A 356 was fitted with ball bearings and I replaced them with taper rollers, of Russian manufacture, some fifteen years ago, its still running around with them fitted, Bill.
