Hi everyone,

Does anybody have any experience with those domestic steam cleaners you can get with regard to cleaning engines and other oily car bits? We had a big steam cleaning lance at work a few years ago and it would shift anything. I just wondered if the smaller versions made by Polti and the like would be good enough to clean my 30 horse engine internals of the baked on gunge, oil and carbon. It would certainly be cleaner and less messy than using solvent cleaners and other volatile degreasers.
