Well, more re-discovered...

Visited a friend who has had an oval in the garage in 1000s of bits for atleast the 20 years I've known him...

He thought it was a '57... I grabbed the chassis number and it apears it was built July '55 ... its RHD... but I dont know the reg... but I'm trying to find it for the buffers... :wink:

Its not for sale... he hoards worse than me... :shock:

Hi just wondering how you found the build date from the chassis number? I have an early 55 rhd oval with ribbed doors and was wandering the build date.

All the numbers fall into march 55. This backs up a bit of card i found in the front seat saying 11 marz 1955. Thanks for the help.

Well today I found out the Reg no - 283FMC -

DVLA confirm 1955

Off the road since 1991 according to DVLA....

16/08/55 Registered.

Do you know it?
