To aid the bleeding of the brakes, (so someone could sit down and pump the pedal), I went to fit the driver's seat out of my '55 in the '56 that I'm building up. The seat runners on the floorpan are wider than the mating parts on the seats...

So question is, are the runners on later seats slightly wider than that of Ovals so when the owner has had new floors fitted they've used a later repro' panel and that is causing the seat not to fit? Or are they all the same and this is just an example of poor repro panels.

Its amazing how much flex there is in the floorpan when you lean on it, or push the pedals the floor moves...

Drilled out the spot welds and removed the seat runners today, narrowed the assembly by 5mm and re-worked the 'teeth' that the seat position mechanism locks into.

All fitted and working now.
