Paul-
I'm confused- what are the "inner wings" of an older bug? Not a term I'm familiar with, being from the Midwest of USA.

English people call the fenders - 'wings'

Here's a photo, the front quarter is the part thats visible and the inner wing is the part covered by the fender.

Paul, there are replacement strips available, it all depends on whats gone and how bad the rest is. Couldn't find a photo of a front one, this is a rear one - but I'm sure front are available.

Thanks! I thought wings probably meant the fenders, but wasn't sure.
