Hello,I picked up a straight engine lid for my 53 recently but I am having trouble with the gap between the top of the lid where it meets the roof.the gap is closer at either side of the lid than in the Middle .
Has anyone got an oval shell that they could take some dimensions for me in case the rear has had a shunt .it seems that the lid closes down too far so i was after some dimensions as in the pics below.

Here is the middle of the lid.gap is 8 mm

A dimension from here on the rear valence .mine is not welded in yet .

This should tell me if the rear quarter is the right length or has been shortened by an impact.i can't feel any creases but I woul just like to make sure .

Lid appears to be a sweedish 53/54 as it's painted metallic blue under the hand painted stuff and has the big spring mount.
