I just learned there is suposed to be a mechinism for the rod in back seat to lock into??  Does anybody have a picture of this, or have one for sale?

Not sure exactly what you're referring to when you say rod in back seat, but there isn't a mechanism as such that holds the seat. There is a strap and hook that stops the seat flopping forward when you're braking, but it wouldn't stop much more than that.
