ok, i have just got my 1200 registered and have driven it home from the mechanics, (my first time actually driving a volkswagen and i loved every moment of it 🙂 ), but i was only going 80km on a 100km highway, i wasnt sure if i should have pushed it further because it sounded like it was going flat out? so i guess i'm just wondering what a good top speed is to travel in a beetle. thanks

The 1200s will cruise all day at 100km/h but will go faster if pushed.

A German Guy with an oval bug I was talking to at Hessisch Oldendorf said that with his blue-printed 30hp engine, his car is happy doing 120kph all day long! :shock:

Mines blueprinted and I drove back from Wolfsburg 70Mph all the way no worries, and she will do 90Mph pushing her.
