OK...I found the body number!
The 59 Cabriolet is #566. I will post some updated photos shortly...I got a lot of work done to it yesterday and I think it's looking pretty nice. A week and a half away from showtime. I doubt that I will get "everything" finished in time but it should be quite presentable.

Stay tuned here for the photos.

...that you found the number. Does the car has its original badges? If not, maybe Christian can help you.

See you at Pomona, if the British Airways will do a good job tomorrow....

Eric,
The Ghibli is great, but Im looking to sell it outright and use the funds for other investments. Its been fun getting it together and the VW Classic will be a hoot...but then Im ready to cut the apron strings and let it go.

-Christian,
Ich hoffe das es nicht so schlimm ist und alles gut komt und ihren eltern schnell wieder gesund sein.
Karrosserien darft man herstellen aber einen leben .....

It is a common thing that accidents take place , It is a commom thing that drunk drivers have accidents..
Why is this common...?
Why is always the regular person involved in an accident with drunk drivers and get hurt...?
Cant they aim on a pole or a tree.... got damned.

Wich the family al the best.
Greetings Peter

Well of course in these situations, the car is not important - you can buy another car but you can't buy parents.

Christian,
That is indeed horrible news. I will keep you and your parents in my prayers to be certain. What a disaster!

The photos of the Carrera leave a pit in my stomach... but Im sure it is nothing like the feeling of seeing your parents in the hospital.

I hope that their recovery is smooth and swift.
