I originally posted this in the 53-57 section by mistake. I have a 1600 twinport engine in my 1959 beetle. There was oil coming from the fuel pump so I fitted a new one. I have kept the 100mm pushrod, the engine has an alternator, as this seemed fine. The new pump has developed the same problem after running for less than 20 minutes. The leak is from the lower part of the top section. Just below where the fuel pipe to the carb is connected, if that makes sense. Any ideas what could be causing this? :?
