Hi thanks for the interest. Yes, i did know that i was letting my self into.......... a "minefield".
Some of you are very passionate about these early cars, its a bit too heavy for me, please remember im new to all this vintage stuff. I think it would suprise a few of you if i told you my car was already 35 years old when i was born! :? Im amazed the knowledge that some of you have, but this can wait untill later. All i need at the moment is an idea of where im going with my 49, i will worry about light bulb wattage differences and hubcap changes etc in a few years. I hope you dont think im being ungreatfull and can understand my present position in this restoration.
Im a bit reluctant to give the chassis no as i dont actually legally own it yet, but i figure i need to in order to progress, so;

I think it is a late 49, but who am i to guess?
It is either black body, bordeaux red chassis, or visa versa?
