Does anyone know what thread rotation the outer tie rods ends have on a standard 66 ball joint, drum brake system?

thanks

I would suggest that you physically check. Each rod should have one left hand thread and one right hand threaded end but what if someone puts the rod on the wrong way round, it still works the correct way but the outer becomes the inner etc. etc.

Right now I can only check what a Left Hand Drive car should use:-

Left outer 131 415 811 (LHT)
Right outer 131 415 812 (RHT)

I would guess that RHD would use the same, maybe fliped over, but not 100%!

Wouldn't the inner one have the mount for the steering damper? is that end available in both threads?
