Also, 356boy's sunroof oval, oh, if only I could afford to buy it for myself... just imagine it with a quick swap back to standard height whitewall crossplies on stock wheels, throw away that nasty big engine, take a razorblade to that back window, and its my perfect dream car!*! ( He will kill me for suggesting this :lol: ! )

What numbskull at Volksworld decided to do that :?: :!: I'd love to hear their excuse given it was one of the best pre67 cars on display.

I agree that uk restorations should get pride of place, but that was blown out of the water by the brown 50. ( Like its the only 50 sunroof or well restored split sunroof beetle in the world :roll: :lol: Yawn. 50% good car/50% hype)
There was a custom custard yellow fastback on a platform for Cliff's sake!*! :? :lol:

But you know there's a lot of 'mates rates' with Volksworld 😳

I'm a bit of a muso and like to think despite my advancing years I can embrace most genré but whatever the soundtrack was could you let me know the title so I can avoid it in future. :wink:

I attended this year on the Sunday as I do most years. It's not my favourite show by any means, mainly because there is too much crammed into a small space; the weather is usually freezing, the high percentage of shiny, big engined, slammed clones in the main hall and a high percentage of rusty, big engined, slammed clones outside.

Why do I go? I like to meet like-minded people where we can walk round and pick holes in most of the exhibits. Then we go round the "For Sale" lot, to see how much more unrealistic the traders have become since last year's show.

To my age group Victor Meldrew is not someone to pity...he's a role-model. On second thoughts I do quite enjoy it. 😃

My brother used to make similar soundtrack music for sony games and similar, and I certainly know I could'nt do it!
