Hi
Great site people

I have a 56 swedish Oval
It is 6v with semaphores.
I want to add front indicators (maybe behind the horn grills)
on the rear I want to brake light to come on as a indicator

I learnt of the DB10 relay box but this seems to be 12v
How do I set it up for 6v?

Thanks
Declan

Untested by me but this is what I have in mind for my car...

Use two 6v flasher relays: One running the left indicators and the other for the right.

The wiring for the semaphores remains untouched.

I plan to connect the flasher relays to the semaphore switch via a double-pole switch (two individual switches operated by one lever if you like). This will enable me to enable/disable the additional flashers. Of course, the switch will be hidden neatly under the bonnet without drilling any holes!

But how will you get the brake light to flash while presssing the brake?

You are supposed to be able to use a five wire indicator switch to pull off this particular trick. They can be hard to find though, as they are 1961 only parts. You basically set the wiring up as per a 1961 car - since they had front indicators and small back lights. (in Europe anyhow)

Ah, sorry, I wrongly assumed heart tail lights were correct for your car -- I'm becoming obsessed by those flipping things of late!
