I have a 1962 VW Beetle. There is a tube or hose that is close to my battery or battery area. Mine was covered by tin foil to block off by the previous owner. The tube branches off of the heater tube to the left of the battery. See the picture of the hose or tube. The picture is from another car on a E-bay listing. I included the E-bay listing for a larger picture. I'd like to know where is goes to and what it does.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

The '62 model Beetle has unique heelboards with an oval-shaped cut-out at the bottom. This cardboard pipe ducts hot air from the main metal pipe, out through these rear, oval outlets. (If you look closely, you can just see the oval cut-outs in the bottom right corner of this picture)...

https://myworld.ebay.de/rosentonis-wonderworld/  ... had two sets of NOS '62 heelboards for sale a while ago. Not sure if he's still got them, but could be worth contacting to find out.
