Hey all,
Not a VW guy...actually probably the opposite, I have a couple 60's American muscle cars, but I do remember my uncle had a very early Beetle, tiny steel bumpers, roof rack and a sunroof that had a snap on canvas cover, it was kinda a lime green color??? I always look at similar ones while I'm at shows.

Anyway....I'm hoping someone here can tell me something about some tool kits..and boxes I came across while going through an old dealership that was being demolished.
All boxes are tongue & groove , painted red and have felt linings, they are obviously mechanics tool kits...unfortunately only one had all the tools inside and others were completely empty.
I've attached some pic's, hope you can help me out...

thanks
Sebert

Thank you...that does help, unfortunately the only kit that is complete is the 297, 😞 and one piece is in the 256a, the rest are just the boxes...which IMO are pretty cool as they are, it's amazing the craftsmenship just put into the boxes alone, that's German craftsmenship for ya!!!
When I was in the dealership I searched frantically for the tools that were missing, the place was in shambles.
It's pretty cool looking at these kits, you can tell by the wear on the boxes which were the highly used tools.
Any ideas on the dates of these?? how old they may be??
Here's some more pic's...pretty cool stuff...one more question....how about that little script that's near the stampings on the tools themselves..any ideas??

and again,
thanks!!!
