Is there a manual / book available that is good for early bug build up diagrams / torque settings etc.

I see that Haynes manuals do two, a 54-74 1200cc and a 55-75 1300-1500 version.

I take it for the Oval's both books are going to be pretty similar? Or is there a better book out there?

thanks

There aren't any options...there's only one choice for the serious owner and that's the official workshop manual.

Just go to Amazon.co.uk and paste this into the search box: Volkswagen Workshop Manual: Types 11, 14, and 15 : 1952-1957

They're not cheap but you know the adage; buy the best and cry once.

Great, done that thanks.

Didn't know that specific one was back in print. That's solve loads of queries then.
