Maybe I can try to explain, why the seller thinks, he has THE BIGGEST TRESURE of the world !8) Here in Italy, till the end of the seventies ( or something round that ), when you sold a car and it went in another region ( from Lombardia to Alto Adige, for ex. ), you had to renew the number plate. As the years went on, the color of the plates did also change - so, the BEST you can get, is a car with a black and white plate and a very low number on it!!
And this Oval has an original, black, low numberplate !
That`s it !
I must admit, this is very rare in Italy and hard to find! But this counts only, when the car remains in Italy !! Somebody might pay 5000 Euro more on a NORMAL VW-Ovali price, only because of this plates - on a NORMAL MARKET OVALI price !!!
One of the sellers friends contacted me and asked, if I would be intersted in the car .
No Thanks .......[-x 😎

Here's an incredible survivor split window Beetle, great colour and patina.

Well I wouldn't expect it to be under £15k at today's value, but $240,000!

My son Jon loves it, but then he'd lower it, and he hasn't won the lottery.

How do you feel about sending funds to Mexico John?
I know the seller may be 100% straight, but it just seems one of those places i would be a little worried about.

Are the rear lights too high? And shouldn't the semaphores be painted body colour? I know this sounds like a good old moan, but for £20K I would expect it to be 100% correct...

It's up on here for £12K. Now that's a much more sensible price  I think the £20K on The Samba was perhaps meant to be $20K?
