What-a-Mess

Sorry if this has been covered before, I had a quick look but couldn't find anything.

With a bit of luck I should be ready to start up my new 25hp engine tomorrow. It is supposed to have been rebuilt before I bought it by a german mechanic so I'm hoping everything should be alright.

I assume that I should be using a lead additive in the fuel. Do i need just a plain lead substitute, or should I be using one with an octane booster as well?

Cheers

Jon.

I've been using Castrol valvemaster in mine since August 2004 and It seems to be fine. I read some articles about lead replacement additives, I'll see if I can find them for you.
