I've just found an intersting old photo of what seems to be an early standard rag-top oval which has been given a deluxe make-over with the addition of some chrome trim, a wolfsburg crest, some chrome bumpers and two-tone paint.

It looks like it still has painted quarterlights, hub caps and door handles. There's still only one horn grill and no chrome trim around the door glass or windscreen.
