Hi guys im still new to the vintage scene. Is Peppercorn worth going to for part hunting ( i have a 49 beetle standard). I ask because im very busy with work commitments and can't really afford to stop working over the weekend. But if you guys (especially Anna) think it will be worth my while going then please could you tell me.

Im not too fussed about seeing lots of examples of nice cars (it only depresses me as mine if far from 'nice' at the moment) It would be mearly a visit to look for parts as thats all i'll have time for.

Anyway your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I personally dont think you will find many parts for 49. Not enough to make the trip just on a parts hunt anyway. Far less than at Stanford Hall. We are taking very little as we just collected Owens Bay pickup from the restorer last night and it looks so beautiful! We are afraid to put anything in the back! :lol:

Met a few! 40's beetle owners at War & Peace yesterday but didnt see any gen not repro beetle parts for sale there either. I think we were the only beetle there at all this year? :shock: Loads of kubels and schwimmers though!
