We are trying to find a book either on the 1950 standard Split Window
or any kind of information we might need to restore this bug correctly.

I've not come across any yet, and I have tentatively looked also. The big blue factory manuals are only post 50, although there was a simpler 50 manual/brochure that I keep meaning to get a copy of but I would think it will relate to deluxe though again.
I can definitely think of more 49 standard cars than '50 standards ? :shock:
I guess everyone wanted all the luxury upgrades of 1950! :D

I would contact Rod Sleigh of the HistoricVW Club uk, and also owner of 'vw books' If there is anything relevant currently in print he will know, or at least have some helpful info.
He's a top split beetle man and vw literature expert to boot
