Hi Everyone,new guy here.just bought my first bug.It's a 58 body,68?pan,but what has me puzzled is the engine.can't find the engine number.I pulled it out and cleaned it but can't find any numbers.It has a vertical oil cooler,no oil pressure switch.On the bottom of the engine is stamped Mexico AS41 and the numbers ,18M---043.101.101A. Id like to know if there is a publication that lists the engine numbers and years..Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.I Live in the US,in New Mexico.Jodiedog...
