Hi all, i have a 67 beetle which is running on 6volt. All lights are working fine apart from the rear indicators which are really dim and hardly visible. Have checked earths and all seem to be good. Any ideas, please help!!

It really is probably the earths. Try fine wet or dry on the connectors,or even jump an extra earth cable to something solid on the car. that would at least rule the earth out if it makes no difference.

Looks like earth to me, have you checked the earth on the indicator relay?

You might like to check to see if you have the correct 6volt bulbs. My recently purchased 6volt '58 Ghia had 12volt bulbs, hence the candlelight glow:roll:

I would get a length of wire and fix it to what I knew was a good earth, somewhere that you know is a good bare metal contact. Than manually attach the wire to tail lights, flasher can etc.etc. If they get brighter... you know what to do!

Have you also tried 'wiggling' the bulb in its holder, with it on?
