Hi all

Does anyone have any pics under bonnet area with petrol tank removed would like to see siting of pipes coming from the fluid resivoir at present my 53 does not have resivoir sited on panel behind spare wheel, it has been bodged with plastic resivoir bolted to radio blanking panel.
Currently no holes for securing new resivoir so i'll have to drill these, not sure what the set up would have been, suspect resivoir was mounted on top of master cylinder, aluminium type.

Any help appreciated.

Regards Mark.

Hi Mark,

I'm not sure if it should be mounted on the master cylinder, or to the bulkhead behind the wheel, I'm thinking the later but not 100%

We have both types in stock at KK, aluminium - used, behind the wheel - New!

Thanks Jules

Still not decided which way to go with this, always a bit reluctant to drill holes where their was none before.

Thanks Mark.

Master cylinder reservoir was on top of the master cylinder itself until very late in '53 IIRC, my Sept '53 car currently has a very grotty set up like this (needs re-build/replacement).
As your car is earlier than mine it should defo have the same arrangement................
I've posted a thread on the Samba recently on a very similar topic.
