Maybe this bit should be 'small money for old Beetles'.

Practical Classics and other popular classic car magazines seem to have a rather optimistic view of how much you can buy a 'mint' 1946-53 Beetle for – a mere £9,500 in fact. I'd be happy to find a rough '46 for that 😛

They also seem to think a 'mint 1946-53 cabrio can be bought for £11,500 :d
